I was wondering what peoples opinion on the newly announced T880 is.

I am pretty Meh about it. The design isn't anything special, but I have never based a purchase based on how it looks. It could be nice if it has the set up of the T680 cab though as the press release alludes to.

I like the no seat option in the press release photos, milk crate seat time.

The truck is nice, the boat anchor under the hood is the problem.

The cheerleaders will be by soon to defend that boat anchor..... I guess exterior air cleaners are out .

Looks like every other new truck to me !

I'm kinda curious how long KW and PB will continue to build three totally different cabs, in this world economy it just doesn't seem cost effective? I wondered when the new 2.1 came out whether they were testing the water? Now that cab is replacing a current model 1.9 (T800) and in PB the new 567 is replacing the previous 1.9 (367)

Personally I like the new 2.1 cabs and my personal trucks have always been narrow cabs, further still I like the new cab much better than the slightly larger T700/587 or if you will T2000/387 although I never thought the cab was that bad, I never cared for the small and oddly angled door windows.

We have had several T2000 over the years and the side doors and windows just always seemed out of place, hell the side window on my 384 is bigger than that 2/3 window on the T2000/387.

Wow, that is a pretty bold statement. I did not realize their market share in Europe, Africa and Asia has gotten that overwhelming. Maybe they are thinking of the Paccar world and they claiming they are better than Peterbilt.:biggrin_25516::biggrin_25513:

hahaha sure is, I drive a kenworth and I can honestly say build quality is nowhere near euro premium brand quality although they are my favourite truck this side of the pond, build quality is as good as I've seen here, nicer truck than peterbilt anyday

Look's like a jazzed up CAT truck. Too many buttons and electronics.
