No squelch

I have a uniden 880 6 pin , changed to 4 pin mic using adapter that came with radio. Now everything works except I have no squelch and can't hear anyone. Meter goes up when mic is keyed.

 

The mic is off of a general lee.

 

Use the original mic.

 

Believing an aftermarket mic is better than the original is often the result of marketing rather than reality.

 

Its not aftermarket, its the one that come on the general lee.
