Hi all, be 50 years old this year and was wanting to make a career change from the semiconductor industry...was looking into going to school for the driving...can u all tell me wether this is a good opportunity for such an old fart...thanks
I am 53 and just graduated from trucking school. I retired after 25 years in the computer industry. I am tickled pink at the idea of driving for my (retirement) living. You are only as old as you think you are!
Welcome aboard! 50 is not old for truck driving. After all, according to the government you can work until your 150 years old. LOL
well then in that case...guess ill go for it...semiconductor jobs are in short supply and with headcount reduction coming to the company just want to be ready...if u know what i mean...
I'll be turning 50 this August and retiring from GM, after 30 years of building cars, to start my 2nd career driving a truck. As long as you have a good driving record and can pass the dot physical, you'll do just fine. Go for it :smt023
