I have had endless issues with Omnitracs, not showing when I an in Canada..

Made a delivery to Richmond, BC but when stopped by a US trooper who asked for an EROD, it never showed me leaving the USA.

I showed him my signed POD's but he replied he has to go by what Omnitracs supplied, and according to them I'm over my hours.

Now I'm in Canada, pulled over for a rest, I new I would get my hours back at midnight, from driving past midnight the previous day.

I woke up, it said I had 7 hours so I started to dive.

Later I get an error, I'm in violation.

Well I checked the error an hour later after driving.

    I didn't do a full 8 hour rest in my 13.

So in short, Omnitracs was saying you have 7 hours to drive, but if you drive them you're in violation.??????

Did you tell the system you did a boarder crossing?? I have not crossed after the full ELD mandate but we always had to go on-duty and then log the crossing, then switch to the Canadian rules if we wanted, then carry on. Same thing when coming back into the USA.

Yes, it shows the BDX on the logs at 14:00 hrs.

Before all these latest updates(downgrades imo ) it automatically registered border crossings.. last week when I crossed back I logged the border crossing switched hos to Canada main and it still took 3 hours before it got rid of the 30 min USA break rule.

Well for me this was it.

Old, Stressed Out and Tired of Driving, hanging up my keys, get a desk job and give the dam truck back to the financial company tomorrow.

I've had enough. To much regulation on drivers and no fairness or guidelines on shippers and times..

The industry has been gouged by drivers or companies wanting to do cheap freight in Canada. "New Canadians"

It's sad really. Drivers don't have the backbone or balls of a man to do a real national strike. 1 week or 2 no freight moving, believe me, things will change.

No I didn't, it showed on the unit that I was in Richmond, BC.

I didn't think there would be a difference from what is showing on my computer in the truck, with what is sent to an officer.

    It showed ESE BC Bridgeport.

Yet what the officer printed out shows I was still in the USA

Arrived Consignee was 1 hour north of the USA border

I have signed POD's proving I was in Canada at that time making a delivery.

I showed the officer my POD's, his reply was he is aware of Omnitracs screwing up and he can only go by what they send him.

I showed him my stamped ACE and ACI too.

Never had an issue like this before, using other ELD's
