Why would you get fraud charges? Your planning to work for the exchange of currency. Fraud would be if you were using the address to get lower insurance or something like that.
But yes, the job will be based out of whatever your calling your home address.
The reason for this, is that there were several high profile accidents, where truck drivers lived far away from the terminal that they were driving out of, so they had already driven 3-4 hours before they had even gotten in the truck. After these accidents happened, they tracked cell phone records to find out the activity of the drivers.
So companies try to hire as close to the terminal that you will be driving out of.

    Good point.
I was thinking if a person used a kinda sorta not real address to enroll in the Swift school or something.
My training and life experience so far has been that Murphy was an optimist. ;)

Tell the recruiter you want Temp-Control division because if the recruiter thinks you want dry van, might not accept you out of Florida.

There's no fraud or lying involved. You're legal address will be in Bushnell, Florida.
That's the address you'll use on job applications and applications for cdl school.
If that was illegal, we wouldn't be allowed to post it on this forum.
Just like, when Stevens Transport told you if you attend their school in Colorado, you'd graduate with a Colorado CDL. That's perfectly legal or Colorado woudn't allow it and Stevens wouldn't do it.

I stole it from Dick Marcinko, creator of Seal Team 6, author of Rogue Warrior.

Many times websites aren't up to date. Won't know for sure until you apply or talk to a recruiter. This happens often. Also could be that enough drivers were hired for a certain area that no more are needed. It's a good policy to call to be sure.

talked to Stevens finally, they’ve decided they have an issue with me having been retired despite saying at first they didn’t, that’s why they ghosted me.

talked to transport America and the recruiter actually seemed like he had a brain and didn’t believe work history or location would bother them. He was able to figure out a solid work history since 1995 when I finished college plus early retirement works pretty well. Obviously subject to whims when the actual app is submitted.

so now I can move (or pretend to move) and try swift etc again, or spend a month getting my cdl and then hoping for the best.
