When applying for your authority and becoming a owner operator does your dac report or mvr effect you from getting loads with brokers

nope, but alot of brokers won't broker you anything till you have 1 year under your belt, but at the same time there are alot of brokers out there that don't care. Good luck

No, they don't access that data. But they do have access to FMCSA SAFER scores, and some shippers set standards based on that data.

Most brokers and shippers will check your FMSCA score prior to loading you, so be sure to take care out there.. take care of your daily/weekly/monthly maintenance as if your life depends on it.. because in all reality, it does! It doesn't take much for your score to take a hit.. and once it does it is extremely time consuming and complicated to improve. Best to keep that score spotless from the get go!

Can't answer and curious of answer as I myself working on becoming O/O. But i got my copies of DAC report yesterday. I recommend every driver do this as I found out 100% lies on several of mine from previous jobs. Contacted Attorney for this false reporting and had a possible suit if they refused to correct immediately. But luckily in my case and all after 7 years weather good or bad on there it falls off. So I'm ok cause those reports were over 7 years old but it did affect me when i was searching for employment 5 years ago. Several Trucking Companies i worked for many years ago that i even gave notice to and dropped off truck at HQ was still writing on DAC I was in accident resulting in Injury/Death or Truck requireing a tow ( which I assume meant abandonment). I NEVER EVER EVER HAD DONE ANY OF THAT. Guess their way to get even cause you quit them. And whats funny one of them called me other day wanting me to come back to work for them. And I thought about it but 2 days later i got my DAC report. PLEASE ALL get copy of your DAC. Free and can request it online once a year like a credit report. Hope all is safe and happy out there.
