Just the opposite with these guys. They don't do a lot of UPS, but almost all the FedEx are super tight. Probably the planners trying to wring out every hour from a driver. Some loads I was late on for trailer issues, traffic accidents, etc. FedEx didn't get upset.

? This is the first Ive heard anything negative about Ozark..when I originally came out of CDL training the instructors really talked them UP..

said "it's like family, get on and you will never leave"..that was 13 years ago..guess everything changes :(

13 years ago it was different yes. Then it was still a "family". From talks with senior drivers there, it has changed. Has become "freight first" no matter what. Don't get me wrong, it's not a horrible place, just some things that don't fit me personally as a driver, and I chose to move on. I'm just stating facts of my experience there and why it didn't work for me. No company is perfect, just as no driver is perfect. We all look for a "best fit", that's all we can do. I'm not trying to scare anyone away by any means. I can say that as a newbie there, I did have the opportunity to talk to several senior drivers at different times and they all pretty much said the same. "It's not like it used to be." That can be expected to some extent as times change, but there have been solos and teams with 10,15,20 years service leaving so that says more to me than I can say on my own after only 8 months.

It's like this with every company where the original family has either passed away, retired, or otherwise taken a lesser role within the company. Schneider, Crete and others have all suffered the same fate unfortunately.
