I have run Airborne,Bax global, fed x, UPS, DHL and some other expedite frt I can't remember the name of. And my experience is that the only load I have ever done( and I have hauled many) that I thought needed more time where UPS loads. You run them non stop and you get there less then a 1/2 hr before del time. Fed x used to piss me off because they would rush me to KC from Ohio or Ohio to Virginia then you get there and the place would not even open for 3 hours after your appt time. But that was prob the carrier. And yes OTR seems to be getting worse by the month. Lot's of Gov pressure and market pressure making it bad for drivers as a whole. I wonder if there will be a breaking point or will they just mty out eastern Europe, Asia and south of the border to seat the trucks in the future?
Anyone know if they will help u if ur not compliant with cpap or maybe test u again? Or are they like Crete and just send u straight home if ur not compliant
Yes, I did move on. I did not mention that they would have to pay me 39 cents per mile to start (as told to me by the recuiter) instead of something like 32. Next thing I knew I was unhireable.
What they did not like is the fact that I fell into the 39 cents per mile category instead of 32 cents.
Noone starts at .32 cpm. Less than 1 year is .35 cpm and when i went through orientation a month ago there were several guys that fell in to the .43 cpm. Chock it up as a.) you lied on the app or b.) your record or csa score isnt good.
