Nope, I started at 12 loading and operating heavy equip. I did Learn on a twin stick though. No super trucker here. My truck only goes 61. Down hill is a different story. If you want flatbed, out of the two opportunities you mentioned, the logging truck would be best. Driving a dump truck isn't the same, even pulling a trailer.
