Sysco is always hiring. Im pretty sure you have to have a CDL for at least a year to qualify

I drive Bulk for Coke Consolidated and we have like 3 new guys all from Pepsi..

Said they worked them like dogs over there, and I believe they had to work their product in the stores too.. Here at CC you just check it in and leave..

That one guy in this thread had it right, the first month in bulk is hell! I was pretty much straight out of school when I came on board, it was so overwhelming. How to get into certain places, tight spaces, small back rooms, mean receivers, tipped over pallets..

I didn't feel comfortable until after 2 months, felt like quitting so many times. Glad I didn't give up, it gets a lot better and it's one of the best Jobs u can get trucking

It's all different depending on your area. In my area Coke can't keep drivers to save their lives. They're currently over 30 drivers short of their necessary minimum. They're contracting Bettaway to drive the trucks while salesmen and office people unload them.

Can't compare Coke or Pepsi to each other because in one area Coke is better and in another area Pepsi is

It's true, I'm not exactly sure how coke is in buffalo. But I usually run into the same driver. Are trucks were built to order. But one day the warehouse guys quit(like 8 walked out) so they build the trucks like cokes are were we have to dig for everything.

Yea Sysco said I only need six months, and September will be my six month mark. I'm not sure cause me and my wife are due and November I know it's risky to swich jobs like that. If that makes any sense

I was in transport division here in Rhode Island. Just D/H unless any product tumbles, then the driver must pick it up.
Unfortunately it was not Teamsters Union, only the guys who deliver to supermarkets. .43 cpm and 18.00 for every loaded trailer.
I loved it, but I did something stupid and had to go:(

Lol, ours was actually part of food and beverage workers union 513 I think. There was say 25 drivers and about 150
plant workers so where is the equality??

If you're not happy at Pepsi there are other trucking outfits within Pepsico. I'm with Frito-Lay myself and liking it quite a bit. I applied to Pepsi in Clintons Ditch a few years back but never got anywhere.
