I wouldnt' work anywhere they pay per Diem for a number of reasons. I like to claim it on my taxes at year end and get the big tax refund
. I would prefer the other way and it's a big " IF " and the big " IF " is a company pays the perDiem the way it's supposed to be paid, and that's on a separate check at today's rate $63 a day, simple math, a driver stays out 10 days gets a tax free $630 check. You do your own finance and figure if you can live on your tax able income, put whatever figure from the perDiem into a savings of some sort and let it gain interest, your way of taking a tax deduction at the end of the year, you can only claim 80% you just lost 20%.
Just do not tell them the dirty secret that we get all food for free and motel hotels paid for on top of the $60 a day..
