I already have my permit does anyone know if I go to Utah will they make take the test again or not if so how is the test up there thanks
You should not have to re-test for your permit. You may have to obtain a Utah permit by transferring your current permit to theirs. Just paperwork and a fee. Double check directly with them: http://dmv.utah.gov/ If you would like, start a thread under, "Trucking Schools", so you can post your experiences in training for all of us to see. Best of Luck to You and Your Success!!!

I had my permit but yes you have to re take the tests but there's no charge for the permit. Test were pretty much the same as i took in Indiana but the school will give you an Iowa Book to study so you can refresh you memory a day or 2 before the test. Then you will get your Iowa Licence will the Crst training center as your street address Straight CDL with airbrakes is 50.00 10.00 more if you have Motercycle endorsement. Dont bother with Hazz Mat until you get back to your home state.
You need to check with your state. You should never have a license in any state you do not reside in.... that is your home state...
The permit you have is just that. Permit to train only. CR Enggland will give you a permit of sorts to drive showing that you passed. You will be required to go hime and get your permit from england into a license in your own home state. I have known of 2 different drivers that ran into this little headache. They drove for almost a year when DOT pulled them over and parked them becuase they didnt have their license. Unless you are moving your address to Utah, you wont be able to get a Utah license. Some federal law of you have to reside in that state for 6 months or some such thing.
Hi JayO You have 5 threads titled the same under 5 different companies. It is easier for you to get the answers that you seek by keeping all of your same questions in one place. I had included the link to Utah's DMV on the other thread. http://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/cr-england/93580-permit.html#post1087858 Best to You!!!
