    I need to use my truck to go to wally world , do i need to freakin log in to use it as a personal vehicle ?

    Nope.... under HOS regs you are allowed to use your CMV as a personal conveyence as long as you are unladen.

    You do need to record the mileage though and make a remark referencing the personal use. Many log books have a box to enter personal mileage. That way the mileage will line up with your next trip/inspection and there won't be any question when audited.

    That is on the Canadian logs. Most of the US logs have no entry for that.

    We used the truck and refrigerated trailer (which is up for sale) to get all our personal stuff from FL. I asked the insurance agent about it and they said you can use the truck for personal use, but you can't take the credits on the fuel. If you take the credit for the fuel, then you'll have to log the hours.
