Can anyone out there give me a estimate as to what the weight of a '04-'05 379 with highrise sleeper full of fuel would be? Thanks
There's a few few variables that are at play here. Not limited to but including drive line rating, axle ratings, and even wheel base. And don't forget the amount of personal things, it all adds up. 18,000 -19,500 will be a pretty close guess. My '96 standup with 550 cat, 1850 driveline, 40 rears, 135 gal tanks, 272" wheelbase and all my c**p went about #18,750. 13 years later, another axle, 30 more inches of frame, 165 gal tanks, headache cabinet, all the chains and binders I need and everything else it goes #24,250. Go figure.
thank you for the replies, i'm asking because i am looking at buying a truck and that's what I want, but the company i'm looking to put it on with said it can't be over 25000, so I wanted to get a rough estimate.

My 06 flattop weighs in at 19,000 lbs, with 1/4 tanks. I'll check my cat scale ticket again tomorrow and make sure though.
The 379 Petes tend to be pretty light, depending on specs. Some of the bullhaulers I've run with are 1-3k lighter than my W9. They have the same drivetrain and wheelbase as I do. Big Cat, 13/18 spd trans, 3.55 gears in 40k axles, big tall bunk, 260-275" w/b and 53' trailers w/ 10' 1" spreads. But, I also know that have a lot crap in the truck and weigh 1-2k heavier than mine. My tractor weighs 19.3k with 100 gallons of fuel, and I'm hangin' a pair of 135's. Door sticker says 18,250, but I've got some chains, plus tools with me for road side repairs, if/when needed.
