I drive a 2005 Mack Truck conventional and want to run an inverter. What is the usable wattage? I would like to run 2500 watts but if the system starts discharging the batteries or in effect over taxes the system, that will not work. What is the largest inverter recommended on a standard Mack in general as I know I have not provided all technical data to give a specific answer. I called Mack but this is over their heads.

Google "inverter calculator" and you will be given several choices. The first one allows you to calculate the watts required for multiple items as well as the amp draw and wire size required.

As always, double check the information you find as improper inverter selection/installation can have dire consequences.
