That was referring to a bunch of CMV inspectors having a come around back party in Ringold, not just red light all the time. I agree the perpetual red light has been going on for a lot longer and statewide. When I read my prepass report, those are indicated "all trucks in."

We are a 2-3 truck company and have prepass. We have an excellent score and rarely get the red light.

Time savings is nice but I look at it like risk management. The more I stay out of a scale the less risk I have of some dot officer deciding to pull me around and pick on me.

In the past, on another on board system, the company I am employed by has contacted me directly after going through a prepass site for one reason or another, pointing out that that's how they know where I'm at at. Perhaps it's their software? I've been asked once on my current system to send in the serial number located by the bar code so they can check if its working because _____ says _______ , Tolls are date/time stamped as well specifically to my tractor. Can dot can have prepass records faxed if an investigation is going on. I haven't read the fine print nor have I had any issues with dot prepass and company. how ever since I've wondered and the question is here I'm looking and throwing in my 2 cents..

the 20, 285 and 85 were good in Georgia today.. even got a green light

How do you have prepass to bypass the scales with only 2-3 trucks?I think you have to have 5 or more to get prepass plus to bypass the scales. If there is a way let me know so I can get it.I Like the risk management idea!

Well,I can tell you folks this.........

Ive had PrePass now consistently since 2006..

I have an excellent CSA Score ..........

Why doesnt the #### thing work in Arkansas?? If The Scale is open..The Prepass does NOTHING or beeps Red..Everytime, Only Green when Closed

in illinois..I get the Red light about 25% of the time..(Which I feel Is Too Much considering how hard I work to keep my Safety rating Perfect)

In Ohio..Same thing...Either its turned 'OFF' in the Coop...Or I'll get a mixture of green/Red Lights...

    In Louisiana..its ALWAYS been a Green Light.Evereytime

WTF gives Here?? Do these states 'not Care' If we are Clean?? They Still want us Weighing even as a PrePass Customer??

I called PrePass about it and Let them have it good..They Told me that Each State has the 'Option' to pull us in or not....

So Why even have it I guess.

Oh I almost forgot.......Same thing in South Dakota going North on I-29..........Every Single Time in the Daytime (between 7-3)........Everbody gets pulled in Red Light for me there too....yet I have a Great Score and a Pull in Rate of 5% according to PrePass.......

So, Eveidently, PrePass cannot control ANYTHING here......Its a Matter of What each State Wants to do

I use it with 1 truck.... Wyoming green light 90%... Same w/Colo.... Washington 75%... Idaho 85% but you have to take it in to get it registered at a POE....

Call prepass & sign up. That is all you need to do. I have one truck & have had it since 2009.

I went ahead and got one. So far so good no complaints. Thinking about upgrading to the one that has ezpass with it
