Prime logistics

Anyone know anything about Prime Logistics? Not their power only but their brokerage side, running under your own authority and pulling your own trailer. Thanks

Thanks for your time and your response rholl32. I saw that thread already and I also came across another Prime Inc thread. Seems those are more about their awful lease program or their power only side. Not much about their brokerage side. I have seen a few posts from other independents that they will use them occasionally to supplement if they are slow or to use them to bounce to area where there is more freight. But not much more than that. No news about a place isn't always good news.

 

They're a bit disorganized but they pay in just a couple of weeks normally.

Have hauled a lot of loads with them reefer , flatbed, get paid on times and decent $ to get out of some dead areas ( no customers of our own with backhauls )

 

I just haul one for them here and there, never really thought of them as a steady gig.

 

Thanks guys for the responses. Saw where they have a few hands run exclusively for them a while back. Not sure if that was pulling a tanker, a reefer, or flat.

 

The time to establish relationships like that was in years past when good operators and trucks were difficult to find. Of course there are no guarantees in trucking. In the here and now what you'll be up against is the one and done price is everything mindset all of these brokers have. Can't imagine Prime being any different from Landstar, CHRW, England, TQL, Joe 6 packs brokerage, etc, etc in that respect.

 

They serve their purpose just like any other brokerage service , never had to chase the $ and lots of loads in areas we run into for our own customers so easy to preplan to keep the trucks moving.
