Yeap, but if your company has a good training program you will be the only sleeping back there and if you are not moving then you'll be sleeping on the top bunk....while the truck is not moving. Yes be patient and it will be over in a few weeks.
Actually a good training company has the trainer in the passenger seat while the trainee is driving. How do you train from the bunk?
When I was with a trainer, he rode shot gun for the first few weeks, then we did the super solo for the next few. But when we slept at the same time, we had a Cascadia with a 72" condo with bunks. I slept in the upper bunk.....ALONE!
If you partake in the bunk training, you just got first hand training for when the company talks you into one of their L/P programs .....
I am glad I started with a company that only runs single bunk trucks. Most of the training was local but when we were OTR I stayed in hotels.
Be glad you're not running a cab-over.........One driver in the bunk and the other over the dog house, with just the curtain separating each other. Can you say "cozy" ?
