So the battery on my reefer had died 3 times today I've had to jump it and my road assist advisor won't respond to my messages. At this point I don't really care if the load goes bad if these cubicle dwellers don't care either. They still gotta pay me anyway. Dispatch is a joke to.

Obviously that sucks, but sounds like your a company driver. So put the reefer on continuous and don't shut it off, whether loaded or empty.

Someone at that company cares about freight claims. Get ahold of them.

I was just thinking this .

why not just put it on continued run and leave it until you get back to your terminal ?

Oh you'll care if that load goes bad.. especially when you don't get paid .. and don't ever think they HAVE to pay you.. they are way smarter than you when it comes to dodging a pay check

I pulled reefer for a short minute. I learned real quick that you can sit at a cooler for a long time waiting on a lettuce load. I didn’t mind pulling mixer loads back to Publix in Lakeland as those loads paid well and most of the time the shippers were quick to get small pallet shipments out the door fairly quickly.
What I hated was pulling to a produce house and setting there while they tried to say the load was suspect and tried to negotiate the price down.

Become a real trucker and pull a dry van.
Don't pull a flat bed , thats only for people who can't a afford a real trailer.
