Maybe he did roll, or maybe he backed up and barely missed another parked truck, and would have hit it so he/she said Ill just wait till morning. Otherwise no one could be that bad, I mean if they are that bad Id hate to meet them at a dock. lol As for the guy in the driveway, could have run out of hours and afraid to drive cause his qualcomm might try to switch him to driving. Or I dont know, lol
Before it was said otherwise, I was wondering the same thing. I've seen a lot of odd parking that looks very reasonable at 3am with other trucks parked all around, but leaves you wondering WTF at 10am when they are the only truck around.
Let me see is I could guess how this happed. Driver pulls in to truck stop with bad case of diarrhea. Already lifting off the seat before the truck has come to a stop. Launches out of the cab forgetting to set the breaks. Driver is 10ft from the truck when she notices the truck is rolling backwards. Dives in to cab and sets the breaks but truck is already in the position photographed. All this is to much and the dam bursts. Great beg mess all over. Driver draws the curtains and undresses. Busy cleaning up the mess as best she can. Concerned passers by come knock on the door. In the buff she decides it is best to just close the curtains and get on with the unpleasant job at hand.
That's a real good explanation for a lot of these incidents. I know I've done that plenty of times - parked in what appeared to be a reasonable manner at the time, but woke up mid-morning, looked out and felt like an idiot.
And that's why after I park, I get out and walk around to see exactly what I've done. The other part is funny too, I also have parked perfectly good and all legal at 3 am and when I get up....WTF ! Weiner man or not....it probably looked good at the time.....can't see how....but maybe.
That's the key words, "reasonable manner". I don't know how it can get any easier than the truck stop owners painting lines where they want truckers to park. This is their property and I respect others people's property. The signs that say "No Parking" and some dum arse is parked in front of it with no regards for others. It's understandable if you are tired and you can find a spot out of the way of others and not inconviencing the traffic flow. What's funny is the Cat scale parkers. They'll automatically park beside a Cat scale whether the lot is full or not. Which really isn't that big of a deal. The funny part is the truckstops where there is no room to park beside the Cat scale. Yet that same trucker isn't smart enough to distinguish parking beside that scale is a problem. He is attracted to that yellow light like a fly. I done it somewhere else, so it must be okay here. Doh! That shows the drivers IQ in a couple seconds. I have driven as much as 2 extra hours and 5-6 truck stops/rest area's looking for a proper place to park. Just because I'm tired is no excuse to plop down in the middle of a travel lane or block someone in. That's my thinking and understand everyone is different. You can't change the system. But you can get a chuckle seeing ignorance.
If Werner has sex like they parked, they`ll never get it in. Must be the reason you see so few little WERNER trucks running around.
In that case I would be concerned about what was wrong as opposed to using it as a reason to blame the company for all that's wrong in the industry. It's hard to imagine anyone parking like that when there was lots of room unless there was some type of emergency, be it the diarrhea explanation or some medical issue. I read a lot of posts about how drivers used to be and how they used to look out for each other. In the good old days would you have assumed the guy was an idiot or would you have assumed some type of emergency situation?
Having an emergency is one thing, we've all been there... after the emergency has subsided, though... fix the situation, move the truck into a regular spot... no, instead, this guy went to bed. And IF it was an illness situation, no matter the type, why wouldn't you go inside and clean up or whatever, versus just pulling the curtains? I've never had a regular sleeper truck with a sink and shower in it, so if a disgusting bodily function was involved, and I'm sure THIS truck didn't have those amenities, either... THAT is disgusting..
