just graduated from a certifed ptdi 390 hr course in nov. i have my cdl-a with hazmat,tanker and passenger endorsements am looking for otr job.so far no luck. i have 3 misdemeanor offenses from 2000 and was off work for almost 2 years on ssi disability from a non work related injury that happen in 1999 and required surgery.any advise or help on what or where to look for work greatly appreciated.thanks
You got hazmat, that's good. Your criminal history will bar you from some companies, ditto the being out of work- being 10 years ago is in your favor. Md is good for work, better than maine ! Over 21 or 23 is better. Who have you applied to so far ?
c.r england.prime,crst,melton,swift,werner,pam,u.s express,usa,transam,and more that cannot remeber more of who have i not applied too and keep getting turned down.except crst but i really do not want to do teams. have not heard back from swift yet waiting on background.really wonder if made a mistake going to school. just want to work pay my dues get my yr exp then can maybe get somethng better then.i dont want to drive local staight or dump truck nothing wrong with it but want otr.just need a chance to proof myself.
