depends, your truck or a company truck?

Belden coax is good, but there are others. DX Engineering sells good coax too.

As for an antenna, others can chime in about that, and the mount.

Uniden Bearcat 880 is junk. Mine is at least. Had nothing but problems out of mine from the day I bought it. Has a six pin mic. I use an adapter on it to make it 4 pin after the 6 pin mic had some broken wire in the cord, but mine is still junk.

I bought the cobra 29lx radio cheap enough and a good radio. I don't need a Stryker not knowing anything about em though they are nice.

Here are my .02, Cobra 29, Ranger 198 microphone, Francis antenna(no tuning required and cheap on Amazon) and a decent coax(RG 58). What’s makes everything work and most importantly, DECENT GROUNDING.

Don't expect much range with these newer trucks unless you are willing to do some major bonding and coax replacement. If the SWR is good with the factory installed antenna and coax, changing antennas is not going to make enough difference to be worth the effort. It is what it is.
