OK here is the deal...been talking to a recruiter for Prime off and on for the last few weeks or so...sent a final email with a few follow up questions so i could finalize my decision, just to make sure we were all on the same page. Been 2 weeks no and no response. The recruiter asked that I contact/call him, should I now reach out to another recruiter?

A recruiters job is to get you in the door. I would try leaving your current recruiter a message informing him/her that you will be dealing with someone else if you can't get through to them. That should get their attention. If you don't get a call back feel free to work with someone else. Their motivations are the same no matter which company you're dealing with so don't let that be your deciding factor.

Maybe the recruiter is on vacation.

I would try calling Prime's general number (like one you would call if you were initially looking for info) and ask to talk with that recruiter

I was thinking the same thing about vacation thats why I was going to give him until mid week. Then call and see if he is still there. If he is and is not on vacation then I will look to deal with someone else..to me communication is a main key to success

Waiting by the phone to see it rings or not is not going get you in a truck! You gotta call companies not wait companies call you.Mega carriers like Prime, they get ton of apps per day,you gotta call them. Some recruiters look it as wasting there time when people email them back and four for weeks, emails get you no where, you gotta put the app in and then call them.

OH no I'm not "waiting by the phone" by no means... I am just trying to finalize some details. I have to quit a job, close a business and withdraw retirement ect... and dont like waiting until the last minute to get things done... I'm sure there will be a job at Prime when it gets right down to it...But I have also been told recruiters make money off of getting you into class so I dont want to take away from his check by speaking with somebody else if I dont have too...

You're too much work- the recruiter won't return your calls because he doesn't want to spend that much effort. He can recruit 2 or 3 other drivers in the time it takes to have a few phone conversations with you. (I used to recruit for the Military, same rule there.)

If an initial phone call to get started and a total of 3 emails in a 2 month period is too much work for a recruiter then evidently I am looking at getting into the wrong profession or he/she is in the wrong profession.

I understand there are other companies out there and I have looked into those. Prime from what I found pays the most, 600/wk while training. I'm sure he can get 2-3 drivers in the time it takes to talk with me but I am not desperate for a job and I'm looking to run a sucessful O/O rig after shutting down a security company and do not want to be one of the newbies on here talking about how they were screwed because they didnt have a full understanding of the training program.

(My disclaimer: I am sorry if any of this sounds rude, that is not how it was meant to sound)
