How long have you had your CDL and how much experience do you have.. and, how long have you ben off the road... if you have some experience and haven't been off the road for a long time.. you may not need a refresher...
Also, does the school you went through offef past students a refresher

My issue is I waited to long to start looking for jobs because I was involved in another job and did not want to break contract. But the contract will be up in June. As far as experience I just have 30 hours and my class A license with hazmat and tanker endorsements. Also obtained my TWIC card. The school I went to does offer a refresher. I just called to find out how much it is.

I called Melton Truck lines and the lady said to hop on with Swift, CRST or CR England for 2 months. That 2 months experience is all I need to start with Melton. I also called Celadon and they have a refresher course that I would not have to pay for but then I would have to drive for them for one year.
    Thanks
    JD

I would take a refresher open the gate for a better company training wise. I would take celadon up on that offer and get 1 year under your belt. Or you could get into swift or the other leave after 2 months. It's ultimately up to you.

    Goggle for nearest TWIC office.
TWIC is for entering seaports, chemical plants and some military bases. It's a background check in addition to the hazmat; fingerprints, picture, ID Card.

USS Independence (CVA-62)....did you behave in Naples?
