What are you guys using? I had one of those $70 Wal-Mart dorm room deals a while back and the giant ball bearing in the compressor thingy drove me nuts.

Hmm I hardly noticed mine when I was in a columbia. Course I sleep next to a reefer on the other side of me.

Maybe in the cubby hole it would be quieter. I had mine on my passenger seat in my Volvo. [IMG]

I took the lower cabinet out of my Century.....on the passenger side....moved it over to the drivers side....and put the refrigerator behind the pass. seat on the floor....and unless the road is really bad....you don't hear the compressor bangin' around.

Dense polyfoam will eliminate this problem :) Simply place it under the "tank" to help absorb some of the shock.

Here is the one I bought from Lowes. $118 plus a $20 gift card rebate.
I will be putting it in tomorrow.

Make sure you use the lock, otherwise it will come flying open on turns.

That was a huge selling point. With my old setup, I used a child lock to keep it closed.
