I have a cab card that says I'm registered in all states but Alaska and Hawaii ,I went to change my insurance and they said I'm not registered in Missouri .I thought I was told at time of registration that I was covered in every state being as this was my first time registering the truck.My local agent is confused also.The insurance company said they never heard of being able to register for all states with one IRP registration.I turned in all my permits and copies to the company and was not told I needed anything else,am I missing something??do I need to contact every state for registration check?
When i renewed my IRP in March, the lady at the IRP office told me that they no longer lists individual states anymore. I could run in any state, and any registration fees for any state I ran in would be paid at next renewal. Kinda like if you don't run there, you don't have to pay there. I was told about this happening about two years ago, and this was my first time renewing under the new system.
Yep IRP started Jan of !5 renewals included all states. I guess they was finally able to hook up with the IFTA computer to figure what states you run in.
I got a hold of the Missouri dept of transportation they said the insurance must have been checking on the intrastate registration instead of interstate and being as I'm not listed there it would say I was not registered in Missouri..
