Ruan transport

I came to Ruan because I was promised better mileage/income. I left a company with 3 weeks paid vacation, being paid every week, and also home every single weekend. I sacrificed it all for more more income. I have been with theses guys a little over 2 months and have not seen more income. I had a talk with management and let them know my previous employer still had me on their payroll and if they didn't have the work I could go back with no problems. I was assured they where just having a brief slow down from the holidays. Now here it is after the holidays and I'm no longer able to go back to previous employer. I am being told I was hired only as prn. Yes that's right, PART TIME. I left a full time job with great benefits for more money. Now I have nothing but time to call corporate to complain hoping they will step in and do the right thing. Sadly it's not going to happen. I went from being told they would investigate to "there is nothing I can do." I would not recommend this company to anyone. I looked at t he reviews before I came and from what I saw the only good thing was the money. I accepted that but cannot seem to get it. These people are liars and sexiest. They have treated me like crap from day one.

 

Many RUAN accounts start you as part-time. When another disqualifies or quits they have a part time up to speed with no damage to the performance of the account. Quite ingenious.
There is a ad where I live right now that says the job is part-time work into full time position.
Definitely a bad practice not to tell you ahead of time, but reading the job openings as they appear on the job board I figured it out.

 

Ruan, Ryder, Penske, Lily, and a few others are pretty much all like that. they provide the logistics for thier customers.

best to try and seek employment either back with your former employer, but you very well may be starting at the bottom all over again, or just go someplace else.

i worked for Ryder and it stank. they hired me, then about 1 month later, they lost the account?

but i was lucky, Lily took many of us.

 

Ruan keeps sending me Emails, wanting me to sign up.

I keep ignoring them.....

stay away from ruan. they do not care about their drivers. I worked for them for 17 years. worked my way from number 23 on the board to number 3. a week before Christmas 2011 we were to have our yearly safety awards an dinner . when we arrived instead of the dinner and awards they told us to clean out our trucks that our terminal was now closed, and have a good christmas

That is truly horrible. I would not be surprised if they got hit with a class action lawsuit. That should not be tolerated from any employer. I'm sorry that happened to you. Best of luck...

 

I unload by their terminal in des moine .they have a trailer setting in front that they are hiring . I have to shake my head when i see it . It has on it we treat you like family
