Do you wear your seatbelt all the time while you are driving?

 

Yes.

 

Yes, It is even more important to do so in a truck than a car if you ask me. The car's seats are on the floor and are bolted to the floor. The air seats are free moving and placed on a pedestal pretty high in the air with space all around them. You are more apt to be thrown out of the seat in even a minor accident or even a bad "whoopdie doo". There have been times and places where I am very glad to have been wearing a set belt.

 

I wear it even if I am cruising the parking lot. Speed may not be a factor, but mass still hurts.

 

yes, and i also put down both my arm rests not just for comfort but for a little added security.

 

You know, I've always worn my seat belt up until last year. Now I take it off when I'm returning in loaded. The reason being too much thinking lol. There's no sleeper on the trucks so every good bump pins you back against the seat as it is. One of my co-workers had 2 blow outs on the front in two seperate incidents the year before. He had to literally stand up to hold the wheel and keep the truck out of the other lane and run it into the ditch/field. We're already overloaded on the front axles. No other way to haul the darn things, and it's been a source of contention for years now. I want to be able to have as much control as possible should that happen, so loaded, it'll stay off. I can't wait to get off these trucks and into our own truck!!!!

 

Ugh! I hate armrests! They just get in the way to me.. but to each his own..

 

Yes, except when entering a truckstop or customer lot. Mostly because I find by taking it off, I can twist around in the seat more and see a little better.

 

I do now, I learned the lesson the hardway 20 years ago when I was driving a cabover and hit a bump without seatbealt and landed next to the seat, now that was scary. Will never do that again. Luckily didn't hit anything but probaly scared the truck next to me when he looked over and no one was driving my truck.
The seatbelt on my bike is broke.

 

Don't wear one. When I first started driving (big rig) I needed to see around the mirrors (lean forward quickly) and the seatbelt stopped me; #### near had an accident. Scared me that I couldn't do what I needed to do to operate the rig safely, so I ditched the belt. Only wear one now when going into the coops. I don't run air in my chair, nor use armrests, so I don't bounce around...
