On open pipes it can be 10 times louder than a Jack-Hammer. Like a kid with a new toy on Xmas ........Very annoying.

Just this morning... at a terminal -
Dude makes a few laps around at high speed and jakein',
rap music blastin, drops a trailer next to me (thump thumpin),
then 'peals out' - all at 06:00.
    At a truck stop? Lame.
At a terminal?? Hang the *astard!

This behavior is not exclusive to you cats over there.

I would add that maybe 3am in the yard is one of the times when you can back up without a little toot of the horn.

A couple of us guys gave the gals a bungee do-hicky we crafted to attach to both doors and their air horn in case that door opens at night. An air horn "hit" gets me out of the truck lookin' to see if the ladies are in trouble.

    Once a "Dad" always a ........

exactly. Once i see that driver (4 or 18 wheels) not going to let me in, if its a truck driver, i'll get on the radio and ask, "how long you going to hang me out here? I was polite enough to let you merge...." Normally that does the trick. If not, and they're one of these drivers who dont run with the radio on, or answer it just because they want to screw with a swift driver.....then i'll start hugging the zipper. I dont go over, and wont ever touch it....but i'll get close. the whole time i'll leave my turn signal on so they get the clue. Normally this will work. If not? then i just stay right there. Sooner or later we'll come up to another interchange/on-ramp where someone will be coming down, and that lane of traffic will slow down. i'll get back over one way or another.....

I am amazed Swift allows straight pipes on their L/O trucks. This tells me the guy is "short" in 3 departments. Height, brains, and ............

Injun the guy wanted to smooch with you!

I bet he idles 24/7 no matter what the weather. It would be great to have him park next to you when you needed sleep. :yes2557:

It wasn't a L/O truck. He was O/O and had finished his lease, so made modifications to the truck. Really? I don't care he wants straight pipes. But cut the jake off in the parking lot!
