GENEVA - The Canadian-born father of missing Swiss twins wrote a letter to his estranged wife saying he had killed the little girls and intended to kill himself, Swiss police said Friday.
Matthias Kaspar Schepp wrote in a Feb. 3 letter from Italy that six-year-old Alessia and Livia were dead and he would now kill himself. His body was found later that day, police from the Swiss state of Vaud said.
Police say Schepp threw himself under a train in the southern Italian city of Cerignola. His letter did not say when or where he killed his children.

It is sad that they were last seen on that ferry. What I wonder is how they got from Switzerland to Italy without permission from the other parent. The border to Canada consistently asks for proof of either sole custody or letter from the other parent when I cross with my children.

    Each country has different laws.

Europe from what I hear, is quite open when it comes to moving from country to country.

So easy, that European Countries had to ban together to create InterPol to handle how freely a criminal can go from one country to another.
