Just got sent home from schneider bulk orientation for failing follicle test for marijuana. The only problem is I havent messed with pot or any thing else since 1978. (I am 55)I dont even smoke or drink. My exposure to it is because my girlfriend uses it to relieve pain from back surgeries,but we sleep in separate rooms and I never go anywhere near her when she does smoke. If I even catch a whiff of it I'm out of there. The only thing I can think of that would have caused this is they used underarm hair that was really long from not shaving so maybe it showed a longer exposure but I was not in the least concerned about passing the drug test.Passed the urine test. It just hurts that I worked 40-48 hours a week at my regular job and went to school fulltime to get my cdl w/all the extras and now its probably for nothing. I went from being a prime student with about 15 prehires to poo poo in nothing flat. is there any recourse or hope for me in this situation?
they said they had checked it twice. end of story. I have absolutely no criminal history. super clean mvr. but now i cant even get a call back from the recruiter.
Not to rain on your parade... but secondhand smoke doesn't give you high enough levels to fail a hair follicle; the lab can tell the difference. And the tests only go bacl roughly 90 days. As usual, honesty is the best policy. With this post, and with your future chances. Sorry to call you out but you're probably about to get a lot worse. FWIW im one of the minority that thinks if you can pass a U.A. there shouldn't be an issue, but obviously Schneider disagrees.
Try another company. I gotta be honest here, I too do not believe your story. Maybe you are indeed telling the truth, but I have seen and read so much shyte here on this website regarding drugs, and such, it is just too hard to believe. Good luck, if you're telling the truth, then try someplace else for a job.
Plenty of other companies out there besides Schneider. Only thing I don't know if they report hair tests to DAC
I do believe positive test results, DO get reported, as per (I believe) DOT. Let's not also forget, he MUST account for his time. His time at Schneider and why he isn't there will come up. He cannot leave gaps in the applications.

The company will not invest the time and money to prove your innocence. It's not their job. Stop smoking, if you can, and then try again with another company.
every thing I said has been the unadulterated truth. You can believe it or not. I have always been one on the straight and narrow. It really hurts me now that I am grouped with the people scheming to get by on drug tests. If you dont think that you can test positive in these circumstances then you apparently have been misinformed cause i am the poster child. I have just made arrangements with schneider to retest the sample so maybe I can be vindicated. This was the first time the girl that performed the test had done it but she had a more experienced person with her.
