Ok I turn 21 next month so Im filling out some apps now. Whats a good starting wage for someone to put down with 3 years local straight truck driving experience, cdl training school, and a half descent driving record for a flatbed company? I was paid hourly before and not really sure what I should put as this company normally hires much more experienced drivers soo asking what they normally start out is kinda a longshot.

If in doubt, you can put "open" in the box and discuss it with the interviewer.

    How about the word "FREE"!

That will get their attention & they most likely won't pay you much anyhow!

More likely to make less than $20,000 your first year.:biggrin_25521:

I always leave three things blank on an application:
    Pay expected
How much I made at previous jobs
    Reason for leaving past employers

As a new flatbed driver, you should expect a minimum of .32 CPM, or at least 20% of the load, I would say.

But remember, some places will reject an application that contains blank spaces for answers.
