Hello, I got my cdl 2 years ago and I was trained on an automatic. I really want to learn stick to open up more job opportunities. 2 questions please:
Where to get trained on stick?
Do you need it on your cdl as an endorsement? ( do I need to go to dmv?) Thanks

you will have to take another drive test at dmv to get the automatic restriction removed.
    its not an endorsement.
will the company you are at now train you?

So um probably like 99 percent of the industry is auto now. In fact I don't even think they produce manual transmissions anymore.. if someone is offering you a manual I would run most likely worse then a Chicago 1099 company

I’m sure of that. People like things that actually work reliably.

Surprisingly I even saw a Turdcadia with a manual today.

what? almost all LTL's are still using manuals in their fleet. you absolutely will have to get the restriction removed if you want those jobs.

    Coffey Thanks this.
