Is it just a fact of life that sunroofs in KW's leak in the rain? How much fun are they to replace and how highly $$$$$$ does KW parts desk think of them?

It's almost comical in a good downpour except for the fact the water pours on me :biggrin_2552: Had the truck for over 4 years now, it's always leaked but now much worse.

Go get you a disposable Turkey Roaster at Wally World with some skateboard bungees with a drainage tubing of some sort, :biggrin_2559: and hook up a drainage system and drop it down through the boot where the stick is! Just don't bump it when you are headed back for a nap!

No sunroof in mine, but the seal between the cab and sleeper was leaking pretty bad when I got it. A tube of clear silicone (caulking tube that is, from Home Depot) dried that right up. I went around the problem areas lifting up the outer seal with a putty knife or screwdriver and pumping the silicone down into the gap. I suppose you could do the same with the sunroof if it has the same sort of rubber gasket as the front facing glass in the roof of the sleeper.

Naw, you'd just need good aim and a strong enough stream to hit the little hole in the turkey baster up there next to the sunroof.

If the seal is not torn anywhere then rub brake fluid on it. It will swell the rubber out like new. My grandmothers Buick leaked around the back door and someone told her to do this. I told her she was crazy but it worked. Actually tightened it up till you had to pull on the door pretty good to get it open. Was sealed that good.

Mine leaked as well, but I discovered that my hinges and the locking handle were worn and not pulling the window down tight enough to make a good seal. I did a google search for the the make of the window and parts. Found an outfit on the east coast that got the hinges and handle parts for about $120 shipped to the house. Fixed the problem, now i can go through the truck wash without a rain suit. Hope this helps, when I get home I will see about getting their name and number.
