Does Swift flatbed take drivers right out of the academy? I've searched posts here and I have seen it both ways. Some say yes and others say no. Can anyone tell if they do at this present time? Thanks
Yes, Swift has a flatbed division. Jerry was a flatbedder years ago. Sam, you can go right from the academy, but most of the flatbed mentors seem to want to get you after you learn OTR and the qualcom from the van side. they would prefer to spend your training time learning load securement and tarping... all the stuff that is unique to flatbedding.
