I am currently scheduled to attend orientation with swift in the next few weeks. I recently read that USX doesn't check anything or hire you until you actually get to orientation and if you are not hired, they basically leave hanging right where you are. Any info on Swift? I recently drove just 2 months for USA and I don't think I have anything to worry about as far as background check but you never know I'd hate to get to Kansas and have them tell me I don't fit their criteria and then be stuck in Kansas. What else can you tell me about SWIFT? How is the communication between dispatch and driver?

Good luck if you go with Swift. I drove for them for four months and they were not for me.I was dispatched out of the Columbus,OH terminal.I would stay out for three weeks, then have to fight tooth and nail to get home for three days. There are siome drivers who seem to like Swift.
I currently drive for them and they keep me moving. I am due home this weekend for a couple of days and I am sitting in Cheyenne (global warming is taking a beating here it is 6 below headed for 15 below) waiting to pick up a load in the morning going to Clovis, NM delivering on Wednesday. I have gotten home when I have asked and miles have been good. Biggest thing is having a DM that will work with and for you.
I think you said that already and no it is not. If you read some you will find I have been saying that for sometime. And what difference does it make? I drive for them. They are a good company. They have problems just like EVERY other company has. Some like them some don't. Then again, some like McDonalds and some don't. It would be kind of bad if we all liked the same thing.
