No worse than the JB Hunt Driver that almost backed into me in a rest area in Arkansas last week. I was stopping to to my load check and I was pulling in. He was sitting there like he was waiting for a spot to open and then just started backing up. I had to lay on the air horn to get his attention and then he acted like I was doing something wrong! Seeing JB Hunt and Swift pulling flats is a Freight Claim waiting to happen!

On a sidenote, I successfully made my first deliveries as a flatbedder! I took a bunch of AC units from Tulsa to three different drops in Virginia and Maryland, finished up, got a full tarp lumber load on Friday that delivers Monday about 60 miles from the house so I got home all weekend! So far, I am very impressed with my new company. I know its still early, but they are very driver oriented. And this Flatbed work is no joke.....I lost 5 pounds in training!

Swift got the contract??? I wonder if they told the drivers what it usually pays? And how much the company gets to pocket they never see.

LMAO, if these guys only knew.

I saw a Swift pulling a container today going south on I95 in Maryland. That was a first.

Yeah, the drivers on this contract are paid a little more, but not nearly what Swift is being paid. Driver pay on this account is .395/mile which is decent but they (Swift) are making a killing. We have 87 drivers on the account so far and you only need 6 mos. experience to qualify to get on that fleet.

Well for someone who worked for Swift for a yr I can say this much, I have seen more over turned trucks, jackknife turcks from other co and not one from swift.. They are not the best paid or trained, but that usually is because the trainer was a joke. My trainer was good, and this is why as of now I haven't had a wreck of any kind in my 3yrs of driving, and I no longer work for them I do local..
