Is this a good or bad company to start a trucking career with and why is it good or bad? It looks to be good but I have no idea?

You are going to have some say it is good and some say it sucks. This company is really no different then the rest.

Please tell me your joking right??? FYI it is on the first day with your DOT physical.

Edit: If you are not joking, please give up drugs before choosing to drive so you will not endanger others like myself.

If he's cutting it that close, he'll be one of the ones that tests positive at orientation.

If you have those tendencies, you should find another profession. You won't make it too long and it could end in prison.

That alone will not make him rehireable or eligible to attend a Swift academy.

I understand the seriousness of it and thanks for the replies before I submit myself to any testing or applications I will be clean first. I am just researching comapanies and the industry by asking questions to experienced truckers.

I been looking at Swift as well, also Schneider and Watkins are on my list. Guess you could say I'm an older newbie. Drove for Arrow back in the day but it has been 15yrs sense behind the Wheel of the big trucks.

Based on my research it seems swift is paying a lil better because of more miles than most of the other big carriers.. Never can tell for sure but I agree with KH .. could do a lot worse. Swift is a good option.

Called them yesterday and they said if I was comfortable and could pass the road test they would take me now!

Things must be picking up out there lately..:Rocket:
    Good luck
