Tailgaters ? I thought rear view mirror's are for backing up

 

well it just goes to show that you don't need a brain to drive for swift' because it seems most of of them are brain dead with the way they drive' eather they are taking mirrors off of trucks or taking someone's front end off well i can go on but' all i can say is another case of sure-wish - i - finsh- training'

 

Okay. Here they come...the ones who only read what they want to see and don't think for themselves.

Oddly enough, if this exact same driver had been in some crappy 10-year-old Century with a calico paint job and a name nobody knows, this would not have been news at all. People would be coming to the trucker's defense instead of trying to cast blame on him...for stopping safely while the four-wheeler behind him didn't.

Looked like pretty good driving to me. He didn't hit the van, he was not pushed into the van by the car hitting him, he did not swerve into the next lane and take out another car and nobody was injured. As far as being "DOT'ed" there is no indication that's what's going on. The officer is collecting information for his report. That would include driver license, truck registration/insurance and trailer registration. We have LEOs on these forums. Why don't you ask them what they do in crashes like this?

Calling 17,000 people brainless because you erroneously perceive someone to have caused some incident simply because your reading skills extend to big words on sides of trailers and no further...

And then it came out that the van driver who lost his wheel was an off duty swifty.

*runs*

 

I remember back in the days when everything was J.B Hunt's fault! SWift drivers are some of the most courteous drivers and safe on the road.

I trust my life with a Swift driver!

 

That's funny right there. I don't care who y'are.

 

I'm no fan of SWIFT....But in this case the SWIFT driver did nothing wrong!

You are assuming facts not in evidence.

 

Sounds good, but slowing down to get someone to pass is a danger too. You can't change whats behind you...Put your attention to whats in front of you. Slowing down may not make that person move anyways.

 

It all depends on the situation at hand; It's going to be different environment and variables for everyone, To Slow Down Or Not To Slow Down; To Pass or Not To Pass...
