Has anyone had the problem that Im having? Ive lost alot of weight 258 down to 180 now and the last week or so I can hardly do my job I feel like Im sitting right on my tailbone and it hurts alot! And I mean alot I had to come home today and take off the thoght of one more hour in that seat was just to much. Oh and I lost the weight the proper way 1 to 2 lbs a week over a 7 months time span with a good diet and running two miles a day. Im not to thin I was 160 to 170 all my life till ten years ago when I started this job. I hope my body gets used to it soon!

You need a pillow, called a donut. It's round with a hole in the middle, thus "donut." You can make one out of sturdy foam with a hole in it about the size of a normal sized coffee cup..or buy one at a hospital or Walmart. Sit on it so the tip of the spine/tailbone in on the hole. Make sure the donut is thick enough so that when you sit on it, the tailbone doesn't touch the seat. Always use this and you will be OK in a few days.

I always used a pillow,,, I have a frac L-4 that is healed and long periods in a seat that is straight up kills me... a pillow really helps.

Also try moving your seat around, up/down so you are not sitting in one position for long periods.

Never carry a wallet in your back pocket while driving; it puts uneven pressure on the spine and causes the spine to curve sideways.

If you pull a dry van your wallet shouldn't be an issue.

I would hate to think the total failure of my spine is off that chain drive wallet I wore since 15 and am still wearing.

Regarding the doughnut I thought it was necessary to consume food until you built up enough bulk to take a seat without the ow.
