Hello fellow drivers, The wife and I made the trip to The Tennessean yesterday. It is a very nice rebuild after the fire even tough I liked the old truck stop much better. I guess it is the old school look that it had that I love so much. It is very roomy inside with the sit down restaurant complete with buffet and a stage for live entertainment. Upstairs is a bar/lounge that shouldn't be in a "truck stop". There is an ice cream parlor along with a Pops BBQ station. The store is in the front and drivers lounge is just down the hall. They have also greatly expanded the truck parking area and also they have about 20 Telsa charging stations. Across the street they have added a new childrens activity building that wasn't there before just for the tourists. It is very clean and the staff is always busy keeping this stop clean and tidy. The only thing that I find that is a turn off are the menu prices which are way too expensive for a truck driver to want to pay. Thanks drivers I hope that the photos upload. Oh well I can't figure out how to upload the pics. Sorry guys
Nice review. To be fair prices are bad everywhere. It’s not just truck stops. From a Droid posting pics is easy. Click "upload a file" down where you see "post a reply" then select "files" then click the "hamburger menu" to the left of "downloads" (see screenshot below for that) then select "gallery and pick the pics you want to post...
I don't think so. Only a fool drinks when they're on a 70 hour clock. Not a good idea even on a 10 hour break. I think they are targeting local area people with the bar. Not a bad thing.
Better than the boobie bars across the road , which im guilty of visiting many many moons ago . Btw i grew up in Cornersville for a while .
I ate breakfast there a few months ago and it was very good. Yes the price was higher than I paid when I ate there last 3 or 4 years ago, but what hasn’t gone up in the last 3 years?
Just out of curiosity, what are the various "Buffet" prices? Breakfast, Lunch, and Supper? Do they do "Seafood" on Friday nights? Do they price it as AYCE or per trip?
