I'm more of a lower risk longer term kinda guy. My biggest money makers right now are Microsoft and Paypal. You know I've been looking at Old Dominion (ODFL). They are at an all-time high. I'm skittish to buy because I don't really understand industry freight/transportation the same way I know technology and gaming.
If you want tech go Nvidia/Microsoft/Apple/Paypal. Gaming go ATVI and TTWO. TTWO shot up shortly after its release of GTA 5 and has been climbing steady since, and we are expecting GTA 6 sometime next year or the year after. I'm not a gaming genius, but I'm definitely a gamer. I only see the gaming industry expanding and it will eventually overtake physical sports like football. Newer emerging generations don't like physical sports the way previous generations have. But they LOVE competitive esports, and public companies looking to cash in on that will do very well... just like RIOT Gaming (TCEHY) which recently hosted a championship playoff in China with over 10k spectators. For full disclosure this is an international stock.
Only transportation stock I ever bought was Mullen T.MTL when it tanked in 2015, I earned 30% plus dividends in 11 months. I believe s/p had been manipulated down for a share issuance. I would not touch any stock peaking and transportation stocks are usually pretty boring unless they are spiking down. Picked up more of my favourite oil stock today. Safe stocks allow one to sleep well. Games??? I have PONG on my phone,,,that's the extend of my gaming
