    Hi drivers,

Does anyone know how the rebuild is going for The Tennessean Truck Stop on I-65 in Cornersville, Tn? I read about their fire last year and hoped that they were progressing along just fine. They were and are one of the good independents still out there. Thanks

The last time i went by about maybe month or two ago.. didn’t see any kind of construction equipment on site there at least from my visual from the highway… So it doesn’t look like anything has started yet if any

I hope that they had enough insurance on the truck stop to pay for a rebuild. They also have to have the desire to bring it back to life so to say. I hope they do as I said it was one of the better Mom & Pop truck stops out there.

Don't know how true it is, but I heard they decided not to bring the restaurant back. Basically just gonna be a fuel stop with garbage like the mega truckstops.

That was the scuttlebutt I heard. They didn't have enough insurance for a complete rebuild. It's a shame. It was really the last decent place to stay before you got near Crashville.

Please say it isn't so!!!!! If they become just a fuel stop/tourist trap it will definitely be a no go for me. Just what we need is another copy cat Pilot type travel center.

That's all it was before, but with a rather mediocre restaurant.

I disagree with this statement. Tuesday barbecue buffet was the best. Also fuel stops generally don't have large parking lots. A mom and pop truck stop with a large paved lot and a good sit down restaurant is very rare these days. Your opinion holds no water. The pilot on the west side of I65 is a fuel stop not the tennessean.
