No. Trucking, like any other business, you make more money by either negotiating better rates or pay your help less. Since there is more enough trucks that will haul freight for peanuts, the way these companies make their coin is screw their drivers over.

 

The cashier was still new to this place when she first laid eyes on him. Nobody knew his real name, but everybody knew about The TMC Top Gun. With a confident and slightly bow-legged stride, he bypassed the long line of unwashed steering wheel holders and approached her register. For all she knew, he could have borrowed those tight jeans from Chris Christopherson from that old trucking movie. He cleared his throat, calling her attention to matters above the counter. "Is it...is it really true what they say?" she nervously croaked as she stared at his sparkling Lone Star belt buckle. "AVERAGE FIRST YEAR EARNINGS FOR A DRIVER WITH TMC IS BETWEEN $48,000-$53,000, AND TOP PERFORMERS CAN MAKE OVER $60,000!!!" His voice boomed and shook the floor. The steering wheel holders clutched their BlueParrots and cried. The intercom called for a courtesy check to the men's restroom. Somewhere far away, an orange Freightliner hit a mailbox. The cashier grew weak in the knees at the thought of such astronomical sums of money. With a rich and beautiful husband like The TMC Top Gun, she could afford to have multiple babies and perhaps even HBO. But who was she kidding? He probably had Nicole Kidman on speed dial. She hoped he was impressed by how well she had swept the floor, but he was too busy fumbling around in his wallet for anything smaller than a $50 bill. She knew about how neat and tidy those TMC men were, and now desperately wished for The TMC Top Gun to whisk her away for a tour of his long, black Peterbilt...

 

TMC is an other company that pays low wages for the work,,,chaining, strapping down and tarping loads for dry van pay,,they have nice trucks paid for by the drivers low wages

 

You never explained why you left a company bringing home 1000 to 1300 weekly for Too Much Chrome.

 

So, am I to take it that TMC is just an average company that will promise you the moon and drive you like a slave? Or did I miss
something?
