you guys have me sold on TMC. I will be putting in my application tonight or tomorrow! Thanks for all the info you all have provided. Hope to see some of you in the future.
I am in my second week in truck driver training in Omaha and we had a TMC recruter in talking to us today and after reading all of these I think I am going to put in an application and see if I get a prehire for when I get out of school. Sounds like a good company and I like the fact that they have two separate pay scales. The percentage scale sounds like the one to get and living in the midwest I should have no problem getting home. Hope to see you all out there.
well I sent in my app last night and today got the Prehire. I am pretty sure I am going to go with TMC. I should be starting orientation two weeks from monday. WooHoo cant wait to get to it.
I get home every weekend. your home time will depend on where you live mostly all drivers are home every weekend that are on linehaul the best person for you to talk to is Laura she highers new drivers that have less then 3 mo. experiance her # is 1-800- tell her Scott told you to call.
well looks like im all good to go. I am going to be starting my orientation and training on Monday the 24th in Ia. I am really looking forward to it and I am positive that I made a good decision to go with TMC.
If you are on Line Haul, TMC guarantees home time 46 weekends out of 52. It is usually higher than that. Long Haul will get at a minimum of every two weeks at home. Dedicated accounts may get frequent home time during the week and every weekend off. You always have the option of staying out longer if you want. If you accept a load that takes you far from home, realize you may or may not make it back, depending on freight. There are other circumstances that might prevent you from making it home, such as weather or a break down. Your Fleet Manager working with the Load Planners will make every effort to get you home when you want to be there.
