Hi everyone, been following along on the forum for a few months. There was alot of useful information on these boards.

I heard a recruiter telling a friend of mine TMC gets you home every weekend except for maybe 4 or 5 weekends out of the year. Is this the truth? If that is the case then, I will try and get put on by TMC.

    Thanks.

TMC says 48 out of 52 weekends if I remember right.

I'm going to TMC orientation on the 29th. The school I'm going to teaches us to clutch out and float in and I'm wondering what TMC's policy is on clutching. Do they require you to double clutch?

in a good economy, 46 out of 52 is definitely possible. depends where you live too. they still advertised this when the economy went to hell, but things are picking up. you can make more money and get longer loads if you stay out, I like to make it home every weekend but the occasional 1000 mile weekend run is nice.

I don't know what their policy is. I double-clutched, because that was how I was taught, and the only way I knew how to do it... then.

I don't think you'll have any problem, as long as you don't grind the gears repeatedly. I believe that main thing the testers are looking for is that you are going to become a safe driver, that you can follow directions, and that you'll take care of the equipment you provide you.

Thank you Carter I appreciate your input. My friend just left today (Saturday) to start orientation on Monday. I may follow right behind.

Tmc was my top pick in school but when I graduated Tidewater offered me a job right outta school. But I see yall every a.m. In bennettsville, sc # flakeboard. Best of luck to all.

    P.S.
TWT pays % and its gr8. Definitely beats mileage.
