what do you mean you bought the TripPak scanner???

make and model of the scanner please.

try right clicking the drivers install file and choosing run as administrator. then reboot your machine and see if that helps. or you can try to install by being connected to the internet and plugging your scanner in and it should auto install drivers.

if it doesnt go to the scanner manufacturers website, under support, find your scanner and download updated drivers for it.

I use the Neat portable scanner and downloaded the trippak software to my laptop. works great. but i am on windows 7.

doesnt always work for everyone. i have a samsung galaxy s3 and i cant ever get the quality up to 40 to be able to get it to accept. dont have time to wait around at truck stops and terminals. so thats why i bought a scanner. do it right in the truck every night.
