What was the felony? There are certain felonies that are not disqualifiers for the haz mat

I was denied and contacted the senator from my state. I recieved a letter from TSA with my approval postmarked the same day I recieced a phone call from him advising me he was looking into it.

Phone your senator and follow up with a civil letter outlining your case and all documentation.

It's not about getting hired, it is about getting a Haz Mat Endorsement. Unless of course I'm more delusional than usual and mis-read the whole thing.

I don't think he/she is refering to getting hired... The person was rejected from getting a HazMat endorsement.

I guess the question is, "Why is the gov't seemingly more and more stringent on bureaucratic standards in the transportation industry".

Gov't answer seems to be, "To help deter terrorism".

My question, "Do you really think a terrorist would bother getting a HazMat endorsement"???

Sorry. That is correct that TSA will not offer HM allowance for that in the past 7-years

From a retired federal DOT official

Not at all in my opinion. TSA has very strict rules and are generally unwavering.
