So I supposedly have a big cam 400 motor that needs a turbo I have had some conflicting info. I typed in the part number off the turbo and google crossed it to a 3032075 and after getting it the parts is close looks to be bigger than what is on the truck using the number on the back of the block gives me a 3523415 and that part look correct am I going to have problems with using the 3032075? or am I better off ordering the 3523415? also what numbers on the pump tag tell me the info.
It's great you posted pictures! But my eyes are not that good as I cannot read the stamping on the VIN, even when zoomed in.
Well you really don't know what that engine is. That engine could have been rebuilt to a different CPL. Or it could be a completely different engine from the VIN number. Your best bet is to take the actual numbers off of the turbo that's on there and if it ran right like it should and everything work you should get the identical turbo and replace it. With engines that old you have no idea what anyone has done so that's really the best accurate thing to do without tearing into the engine. If the turbo looks different than what you have then either you got the numbers mixed up or they made a mistake and sent you the wrong Turbo.

Your Engine S/N is: 11317957 (Got from your picture, but couldn't confirm original from vin s/n) Kinda interesting, the engine has a build date of '85. But your chassis is '88. Anyway, why would you not use the kit number off the turbo? Are you trying to rebuild the turbo? You weren't very clear...attached is a sub-component breakdown that mentions one of the P/Ns.
