I applied for seasonal. Regular UPS truck and tractor trailer. Then there was never any way to schedule any road test. Then they told me I was rejected because I couldn’t schedule a road test. The only way I could do seasonal was with my own vehicle

Ya gots to pay someone to use their truck for the test.
Your state DMV should have a list of providers.

Right now hiring has slowed to a crawl at most locations. Even the mega terminal near me (CACH) has slowed or stopped hiring.

The number of drivers that terminal has added since 2018 or 19 is just stupid. If they're not hiring, then almost nobody is.

Economic headwinds for the foreseeable future. Maybe we'll do better in 24.

Aroind here UPS is aggressively hiring seasonal tractor-trailer operators. Banners outside the facility, lawn signs by the side of the road, mass emails.

Although if you've had a CDL for almost 10 years without using it, I question if you actually want to do this. Which is fine, there are plenty of other things you can he doing with your life.

I enjoy driving and running a truck. What I don’t like is being gone overnight and dealing with bs

When does ups usually start hiring again typically? Im trying to get in i wish i could do sleeper teams in Atlanta, ga but i heard one driver say he ran sleeper teams in Atlanta i didnt know they did sleeper teams out of Atlanta but it would make sense.. he hasn't replied so i cant get more information about it yet. My wife doesn't wanna team drive anymore so im looking for a team driver near the Atlanta area to get this money. Thinking of AAA COOPER if i can find a driver they pay well and have consistent dedicated freight for teams. No one else is hiring in ltl at the moment so my options are limited but i need something quickly even if just temporarily.. i live an hour away from Atlanta so idk if solo will work for me ill be too exhausted.
